Another impressive sunrise then breakfast on the nearly finished roof terrace of Oasis apartment. We start the long climb out of Zman and follow an undulating and mountainous route across Dugi Otok. Breathtaking views in all directions: the white limestone rock contrasting with the green of the pine trees, olives, rosemary and evergreen scrubland, and the turquoise seas and small islands of the Zadar Archipelago beyond. Although hilly the route is spectacular and this feels like the best day yet. 20 miles to our destination of Bozava - down another steep hill. We have trouble finding our apartment but eventually Olga lets us in. Olivera is rather drab and basic compared to what we have become accustomed to but Bozava itself is a charming and very picturesque fishing village with harbour. We unload , then cycle back up the hill and then downwards towards Sakarun Beach. Beautiful shallow turquoise clear water over sand: perfect for relaxing and resting our rather weary legs. Another upward cycle home - we really have deserved our wine and crisps today! We go to Oleandar Restaurant that has a board up advertising fresh fish. When we ask, we are told there is only fresh squid. We have squid, grilled, which turns out to be rather rubbery and too "squidy" but we manage!
